For Foundation to Year 10, PocketTutor is built on the Australian Curriculum v9. For Years 11 and 12, it uses each state and territory's senior-secondary syllabus, including the relevant pathways and elective choices where the syllabus offers them.
When a student works within a selected subject, the relevant syllabus content grounds explanations, quiz questions and feedback. Subject quizzes are generated from the selected syllabus content and outcomes. This is more precise than a general conversation with no subject selected.
ACARA organises Foundation to Year 10 Mathematics into six connected strands: Number, Algebra, Measurement, Space, Statistics and Probability. PocketTutor presents that structure as a browsable subject map so students can move from a broad area to the exact topic they need.
Students can also set a Maths subject one year above or below their school year. That can support extension or a deliberate return to earlier content without changing the rest of the student's profile.

Quiz evidence builds a conservative topic-by-topic mastery picture. Repeated correct evidence is required before a topic is shown as mastered. That picture influences the difficulty and topic mix of the next quiz, with more attention given to weaker areas. Adaptation happens between quizzes, not by making questions progressively harder within the same quiz.
