Your kids get a tutor.
You get your evenings back.

PocketTutor is built for families. Your kids get a tutor that's tuned to how they learn. You get a dashboard that shows what they're working on, where they're improving, and where they're stuck.

WHAT IT SOLVES

Built for what parents actually need.

Most parents come to PocketTutor with one of these in mind. The other two come included.

Tired of running homework hour?

PocketTutor handles the tutoring, your child gets the help they need in the moment, and the dashboard tells you what happened - without you needing to sit at the kitchen table to find out.

You stop being the homework supervisor and go back to being a parent.

Worried about ChatGPT doing the work?

PocketTutor walks your child through the method step by step, so they reach the answer by doing the working.

The dashboard shows exactly what they've worked on, and how much of it is sticking.

Tutoring stretching the budget?

$19 a month covers every subject, every mode and every metric. Add extra kids from $10/month.

For the price of two hours with a human tutor, you get a year of unlimited tutoring.

STAY IN THE LOOP

See exactly what they're working on.

The parent dashboard updates as your child uses PocketTutor. You see what they've studied, where they're getting stuck, and where their mastery is climbing - without having to chase them at the dinner table.

And on your phone, in the kitchen.

Most parents check the dashboard the same way they check the family calendar - on their phone, between things. The mobile view is the desktop dashboard, condensed.

What you can see

Subjects worked on, time spent, mastery climbing or plateauing, and the topics the tutor flagged as gaps.

It changes the conversation

With PocketTutor, parents can have more specific chats about study at the dinner table, instead of asking "how was school?".

One plan, many kids

Built for families. Priced for families.

A single Plus plan covers up to 5 children, each with their own profile, tutor, and progress.

BUILT DIFFERENT

Designed to teach, not do their homework.

The biggest worry parents have about AI tools is that their child will use them to skip thinking entirely. PocketTutor is structured against that.

Solve mode walks through the method, step by step.

When your child types "solve 2x² − 7x + 3 = 0", PocketTutor's Solve mode breaks the problem into steps and guides them through each one.

Quizzes are graded with feedback.

Not "here are the answers" - actual feedback on what they got wrong and why. So even when your child takes a quiz, the product is still teaching.

Tutors are built on established teaching strategies.

The 7 tutors aren't 7 different chatbots - they're distinct teaching approaches: scaffolding, inquiry, analogy, drill, first-principles, peer support and balanced. Each one is built to guide your child toward understanding, not to give them the answers.

SAFETY FIRST

Safe for kids, controlled by you.

Age-appropriate content

PocketTutor adjusts its language and examples to your child's year level automatically. A Year 3 student gets explanations a 7-year-old can follow; an ATAR student gets the depth they need. The tutor will not engage with off-topic conversations - no relationship advice, no general chitchat, no drift from the academic frame.

Minimal data

We ask for 3 things: state, year level, and a name (whatever you want them to see in the app). That's it. No email collection from your child, no tracking outside the app, no data sharing.

StateYear levelName

Parental control

You set up the account, you control the subscription, you see the dashboard. Your child has access to the tutoring experience, but the account-level controls remain with you. You can set a PIN to lock down each account (including your own), manage child accounts and see what's going on from your dashboard.

Parent questions, answered.

The dashboard tells you. You can see what subjects they've worked on, what mode they used (Learn, Practice, Solve, Quiz, Review), and how they performed on quizzes. More importantly, the dashboard tracks mastery, not just activity - progress on a topic that doesn't shift the mastery score is a signal worth investigating. Study time tells you they're showing up; mastery tells you it's sticking.
All ages from Kindythrough to Year 12, across every Australian state and territory. The tutoring auto-adjusts language and depth to your child's year level - the same product works for a Year 3 student doing fractions and a Year 12 student doing differential calculus.
Your Plus plan covers up to 5 students. Each gets their own profile, their own tutor, their own progress, all visible from your parent dashboard. Extra students can be added for $10/month on the annual plan or $15/month on the monthly plan.
Limited dashboard features are available on the Basic plan. Full progress tracking - mastery by subject, activity history, and family-level visibility across all your children - is a Plus feature. The free plan is still genuinely useful for trying the product, with 10 messages, 2 study sessions and 3 quizzes each day.
The tutor stays on-topic and won't engage with content outside the academic frame. Off-topic prompts get redirected back to study.
Yes - you can easily cancel from your account settings: no phone calls, no hoops to jump through. If you cancel during a billing period, you will keep your Plus access until the end of that period; after that, the account drops to the Basic (free) plan automatically.
PocketTutor's age-appropriate adjustment means that a Year 8 student taking a Year 7 subject can quietly get the foundational explanations they need without their tutor flagging that they're "behind." It's also built to ensure that they understand key foundations before moving on - if something's not clicking, the tutor will explain the basics first so we can build on that.
The tutor will go to whatever depth your child can follow. A Year 9 student capable of Year 11 maths will often find tutors like Ravi (first-principles) most useful - and the Tell me more shortcut lets your child push deeper at any point. If your child is taking a subject a year ahead, you can select this in the app and the tutor will tailor content to the subject's syllabus for that year level.
